I fell in love with this necklace the minute I saw it...I thought it was a pendant bought from a supplier at first but it turns out to be handmade from scratch. Immediately on my favourite list.
Would someone go "WTF!?%#!" if I said crafting isn't my first love? Well, it isn't, and I don't even remember why I started. I don't have fond memories of making my first doll costume when I was 5, or playing with bits of fabric that my mother discarded (she doesn't sew much by the way). In fact, I sent my home economics project to a tailor with the blessing of my mother!
But what I do know is that once I got my mind started on an idea, I can't stop thinking about it. I'd get all "google-ly" about it, researching on whether someone else has already thought of it and willing the day to go by faster so I can go shopping for materials. I have dreams of my Etsy shop being big one day, hopefully supporting me when I choose to go back and study. But I think back about the times when I just throw all my money and effort into my shop, I know now it's not just material gains I'm looking for.
It's satisfaction.
And just in case you're wondering, my first love is film.
